Residence Palisades
Set on a narrow, sloping site near Lake Orford, the Palissade residence replaces a former boathouse with a bold, masonry-clad home positioned safely above the flood zone. Facing the road, the house presents a protective brick façade, conceived as a palisade that provides privacy, acoustic mass, and a sense of permanence. A continuous high window band and central skylight bring natural light deep into the interior. Composed as a monolithic brick volume crowned by a low-sloped roof and paired with a detached masonry garage, the project highlights brick as both a durable envelope and a defining architectural expression.
